Retford played host to a continental market in September, the first of it's kind in Retford, and certainly a success judging by the number of people attending the Continental Market. Professional market traders from France, Germany and Belgium filled Carolgate to sell such delights as Belgian Chocolates, French Cheeses, Italian Wines, French Lavender, specialty breads, leatherwear, Peruvian sweaters, wooden roses, baguettes and croissant.

The Continental Market was such a success that it is likely to become a more regular event with another scheduled for Worksop in early November.
