Local knowledge to help make your stay in Robin Hood Country extra special
Tuxford Windmill, Nottinghamshire Take a guided tour of Tuxford windmill, Nottinghamshire premier mill attraction and learn about the history of the Tuxford windmill, the town of Tuxford and how the Tuxford windmill actually works. Stop
by at the Mill Shop for freshly milled flour, Thaymar ice-cream or
a quiet cup of tea/ coffee. A little retail therapy in the
windmill shop is also
possible with herbs, lavenders and local crafts available. Bring
your own picnic and enjoy it in the grounds of the windmill - or order a basket at
the mill shop and have it delivered to your favourite spot on the
grounds. Come and see us at
Tuxford Windmill. If the wind is right, you
can see the sails turning (even from a distance) and, if you are
lucky, you may even catch the miller milling a new batch of
Tuxford Windmill flour. From
the A1 going north take the Tuxford turn (B1164) - go through the
town of Tuxford passing the Newcastle Arms on the left. Head north on the
B1164 about half a mile. The Tuxford Windmill is on the right just out of
town. From the A1 going south, exit the Markham
Moor roundabout taking Tuxford (B1164) exit - fourth exit. Go
south approximately 2 miles. The Tuxford windmill is on the left just
before Tuxford Town. Call 01777-871202
